The Irish Indie rock band known as Two Door Cinema Club played an amazing set at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. There was a crowd of excited fans waiting outside the venue starting in the early afternoon to secure a spot in the front of the venue. It is always exciting to see the fans of a band invest so much time into live shows. Once showtime rolled around and doors opened the crowd happily waited inside anticipating the performance of the band. Circa Waves an indie rock band from Liverpool, U.K was the opening band of the night. There set started at eight and went on for about forty five minutes. It was a perfect choice to bring them out because the crowd seemed to be loving them. At around 9:15 Two Door Cinema Club walked on stage and the crowd went mad. They opened the night with “Cigarettes in The Theater” from their iconic album Tourist History released back in 2010. They went on to play a mixture of crowd favorites including “Do You Want It All,” “Bad Decisions,” and “Game Show.” As always their light work was incredible. The strokes of their bright white and blue lights definitely help set the mood of the venue. Everyone in the crowd was dancing and singing along to every song. They closed the night with their most iconic song “What You Know” which made the crowd burst with excitement. Overall it was a great night filled with energy and good music. If you get a chance I highly recommend you check them out. For now you can enjoy our photos of that nights show.

MWN: We are here with Oz Noy lead guitarist of the band Ozone Squeeze. Well first of all thanks so much for taking the time to answer these questions! Let’s kick things off by traveling back in time. Can you tell me a little bit of background info about why you decided to become musician?
Oz Noy: I started to play guitar at the age 10, not sure why? Just started to listen to the Beatles and I guess wanted to do the same…
MWN: The Beatles have inspired a lot of great artist. So what sort of music did you grow up listening to? Does it influence what you make today?
Oz Noy: The Beatles and Israeli pop and rock music. Also at some point jazz came into the picture… Chick Corea, John Mchlaghlin, Al Dimeola etc… it influences what I do today to some degree for sure.
MWN: Those are some cool combinations to get inspired. What is the process in the recording studio like? What do you guys focus on the most when recording?
Oz Noy: I like to record when the whole band is playing together to get an organic band sound. We try to focus on playing as good as possible and get best takes for the songs that we can choose from later.
MWN: That makes sense. So what do you hope people get from your music?
Oz Noy: Joy.
MWN: Nice and simple. I read you guys are embarking on a tour. How do you mentally prepare for life on the road?
Oz Noy: I don’t have an answer for that, you just got out and do it…:)
MWN: When I get the chance I’ll definitely hit the road with a band. I really like the song “Chase thee Clouds” it’s very sort of jazzy and beautiful. Can you tell me a little more about the song?
Oz Noy: Rai wrote the song, he will know best … I’ll forward him the questions also, I like the song also a lot!
MWN: Haha okay thanks! Alright lets go to some random fire round questions. What is your favorite love song?
Oz Noy: Carless Wisper.
MWN: Good pick. What about your first recollection of live music?
Oz Noy: A famous Israeli pop/rock band in the early 80’s.
MWN: First record you ever bough?
Oz Noy: I don’t know.
MWN: Really? The first I record I ever bought was Pyromania by Def Leppard. It still holds a special spot in my heart. Haha! Alright to wrap things up! First thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions. Lastly is there anything you’d like to say to the people who have supported your music?
Oz Noy: Thanks and keep supporting my music and music in general, we need you!
MWN: Cool, thanks so much!

David Cook past American Idol winner played a mesmerizing set at the Granada Theater in Dallas. There was no disappointment in his set list for the night as he went on to perform some crowd favorites including “Light On” and “Declaration.” There was a sense of excitement flowing through the crowd all night long. Everyone seemed excited to see what he was going to perform next. Song after song the crowd sang along to his catchy lyrics and beautiful vocals. His band filled the ballroom with their melodious instrumentation’s. The show went on for quite a while, but for the people that were there it flew by like the wind. I guess when you are enjoying music to its fullest potential you loose track of time. It was one of the best shows I have had the pleasure of attending this year. I definitely put it on my list of favorites and recommend you to check him out when he stops in a city near you. For now you can enjoy some live photos of that night. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention he close of the night with his new song “Gimme Heartbreak.”
