ALT-J completed their 2 night run at The Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles with a set list heavy on material from their new album RELAXER, released on June 2nd of this year. The English trio opened with “3WW”, the first track off the new album, and the audience loved it. Everyone in the pit shoved up to the stage, wanting to get as close to the action as possible and everyone in the seated sections stood up, energized by the performance, and didn’t sit down again until the end of the three song encore. The energy crescendoed during “Breezeblocks,” the hit single off their 2012 studio album An Awesome Wave and the final song of the night, leaving the audience buzzing and wanting more. With a loyal fan base who knew every word to every song, ALT J aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
