ANGUS AND JULIA STONE-2

Sydney siblings Angus and Julia Stone graciously returned to Chicago once again for their sold out date at House Of Blues for their latest tour titled Snow in support of their fourth studio album of the same name. Opening with the smooth beats of their indie track “Baudelaire,” Angus and Julia Stone quickly received praise from the crowd. “Heart Beats Slow” off of their third and self titled album highlighted the musical strengths the duo possess. Julia’s soft coo in response to Angus’s dreamy technique creates an atmosphere that’s hard to counter. Their voices have an organic blend that highlight each of their abilities without drowning the other. Besides their vocal technique, their instrumental talents layer into their performance. “Private Lawns” off of their debut album had Julia perform a flamenco-esque trumpet solo that had the crowd on their feet. Her voice later exquisitely imitated the melody she had performed. When Angus began fan favorite “Big Jet Plane” the crowd instantly began to instantly sing back the words to him. He then proceeded to invite the crowd to sing the ending verse and to his benefit, every voice sang back in a perfect harmony. Chicago most definitely looks forward for their return.
