In need of a truly soulful album? “Indigo” the second album release from Lady Rizo is for you. Following the album “Violet,” “Indigo” is another impressive release. Listening to the album in its entirety was my first step, and each song is delicately woven into one another, giving a well-rounded album. Lady Rizo is a veteran within music. She has a gripping aspect to her voice. Her music empowers you and throws you into the world of the song. Lady Rizo’s vocal range is nothing short of impeccable. The moody blues gives you a chance to close your eyes and just enjoy the music. She gives me vibes of a burlesque show in which the music floors you. I’d love to see Lady Rizo live one day. She is known for her eccentric performances, turning a club-aspect performance into a theatrical one.

Lady Rizo is nothing short of special. Each song off the album takes you into a different aspect of her life. “Sometimes  The Sky’s Too Bright” is one of my favorites. Each beat wraps you in a blanket of music, and you can’t help but bask in it. There is a certain hum of calm ringing within each of her songs, and “Indigo” will be an album I use to feel empowered in the morning. “Loving In Colour” brings me to the days where I sing in front of my mirror while getting ready. It has a nostalgic feel while bringing me to my roots of discovering music. The chorus of “It’s Alright” brought chills to my skin. Each song is worthy of a listen. An artist can have a chance to influence your day, and Lady Rizo is a strong one within the soul music and RNB genre. Give it a chance and listen to it. You won’t be disappointed.
