James McCartney son of Sir. Paul McCartney took the stage at the Prophet bar in Dallas, TX last Sunday evening. He brought his new album The Black Berry Train to life singing most of the tunes from this record including ” Too Hard,” “Fantasy,” and “Alice.” What I love about artist like him is their ability to sound just like the record (which is something we do not get so much now a days with live music). He emits so much emotion through his piano, vocals, and guitar. His band which enriched the performance was also spot on. The crowd seemed to be pleased with his performance. It is very exciting to get more acoustic performances in Deep Ellum. Even though it was not a hard rock/ metal/ punk band (which is what Deep Ellum is known for) his performance was still rich in energy and passion.
