Live music- is by far one of the best things in life, I would say. Think about it? All the memories you make with people that you have probably never meet before or with your best mate you’ve known for years will never fade away. Live music lets us escape the monotony of life and set foot into an entire new dimension.

LANY (pronounced Lay-Nee) – the dynamic alternative/ dream/ indie pop trio consisting of  Paul Jason Klein , Les Priest, and Jake Goss put on a static show at the House of Blues in the heart of Dallas, TX- November 12.  Seeing a band that delivers a class performance the way LANY did is truly a breathtaking experience. The energy that night was unenviable. There opening act Transviolet was so unique and mysterious. There were fans that had camped outside of the venue a good day prior to the bands performance, from all over Texas and even other states.

The most amazing part of the show is the way the band interacted with their fans. Paul Klein (lead singer/ guitar. keyboard) carried on an interactive performance- moving all around the stage, and even at some point towards the middle of the set- going into the pit. Filled with screaming fans of course and plenty of phones recording this intimate moment with the crowd, it made for a great memory to have of the show. Jake Clifford Goss (drums)  and Les Priest (keys, guitar, and vocals) also delivered clean and energetic performance.  LANY played a mixture of songs from the albums-Kinda and Make Out. Including one of their most popular songs (and my personal favorite): ILYSB from the album Make Out. This song lit up the room- every corner of that venue was filled with the sound of the voices of fans singing back to the band. The light production was very futuristic. The red and the purples really set a nice vibe. LANY is definitely a class band and one you have to make sure to see live some day!
