Brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach from Lime Cordiale know how to create an incredible album. The band really has everything you need. From beach-infused hits, to songs to sing in the car to, and music to rock out to.The album, Permanent Vacation, was released on October 13th. This is already my favorite album of the year. I have been waiting for an album as strong as this for months. They really swept me off my feet with this one.
Starting out with the album opener “Naturally,” I was immediately hit with the strong guitar. Not my favorite on the album, but the song accompanies the album well.
“Temper Temper” is next on the track list. This was released as a single awhile back. A cool music video too if you have to check it out.
“Is He Your Man” is a bit different then what is on the rest of the album. What strikes you is the beginning that stays with you throughout the rest of the song. Easily one of my top favorite tracks.
“Can I Be Your Lover” is another sweet song off the track list, opening up with the track title. This song makes me want to dance around my house or drive around with the windows down. It is a song everyone should have on their playlist.
“Walk Over Everything I Do” has a piano track which rings throughout and is beautiful. The lyrics are really strong, and it struck a chord with me.
There are quite a few other tracks not mentioned here, but it’s leaving me to tell you to check it out for yourself. Even more than that, they have a few other songs that are off EP’s or are singles. You can check out their music on youtube (like mentioned before, they have great music videos) Spotify, iTunes, etc.
They are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. I first heard them when my friend recommended me to listen to songs “Hanging Upside Down” and “Waking Up Easy.” Both of these songs do something different for me. “Hanging Upside Down” is a certified bop. With each note you are strung into the world of their music, and it is easily one of my all-time favorites. “Waking Up Easy” is an incredibly catchy and relatable with a sweet music video to accompany it.
You can tell they put an immense amount of work into it. If you want to check more of their stuff out, you can check their videos on their youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/LimeCordiale). The videos are called #LimeTV.
Lime Cordiale is worth every listen, and I highly recommend you check out their new album.
“Permanent Vacation” has something for everyone. It is a heartfelt look into their lives through a colorful lens of music. I’d be lucky to see them live one day (crossing my fingers they’ll come to America or I’ll find myself in Australia). I hope you give them a solid listen. I highly respect them as musicians, and I can’t wait to see where they go.
