At 6:00pm on the dot, LA based rock band The Shelters took to the stage in Central Park’s Summerstage. As they stepped foot onstage, everyone in GA, who was at the venue early, stood up and pushed toward the stage. Putting on a show filled with energy, The Shelters, who are mentored by Tom Petty, didn’t disappoint, with the energy reaching a maximum when they performed their hit single “Rebel Heart.” By the end everyone was singing along, even the people who didn’t think they knew the words. This guitar-heavy rock band is taking the music industry by storm and gaining a loyal following along the way.
