Without doubt music is among the greatest pleasures of life. Not only does it have the power to move our bodies, but it feeds our soul even when nothing else can. Being a music journalist I am always attending concerts, music events, and getting to chat with artists I am exposed to music all the time and I have to say that, attending SXSW 2017 was one of the most refreshing and recharging experiences of the year so far. The variety of music that SXSW offers its attendees is without doubt one of the richest I have seen among music festivals.

The lively bars of Austin’s famous 6th street house the performances of many talented artists that cover all the way from indie rock to Venezuelan folklore that are sure to the make your visit unforgettable. You will find artists from all parts of the world. All the way from Spain and Colombia to Australia and Italy. The diversity of the music that this festival has to offer is as colorful as the Austin’s city lights. Not only that, but SXSW has special and surprise appearances, such as Lana Del Rey, that will leave you wanting more.

You are sure to find a band for every taste of music, here are just a couple of the bands that attended this year: Mariana Vega, Caravanchela, T.I, Jimmy Eat World, The Chainsmokers, Sundara Karma, The Temples, The Drums, and more!

Whether you are a music junkie or just looking for a great musical experience to add to your repertoire of adventures SXSW will not disappoint in giving you a one of a kind musical escapade.
