X Ambassadors @ Showbox SoDo – Seattle, WA

XA007

X Ambassadors made a wild splash in Seattle this week at the Showbox SoDo. Opening first was the band SHAED. The group includes twin brothers, Spencer and Max Ernst, and lead vocalist Chelsea Lee. They did a killer job winning over the crowd. You can listen to their cover of “Starboy” here.

Jacob Banks took the stage next. Guaranteed you have yet to hear a silky, smooth voice like his. Jacob quickly gained a room full of fans before his set was over. You can listen to one of his album here.

The lead singer of X Ambassadors, Sam Harris, was born in Seattle, so it only made sense to come back home and nail the performance. A fight broke out during “Hold On”, the most unnecessary song to fight to. Sam quickly stopped the song, asked the men to stop fighting, and then kicked one out after he refused to quit. Sam went on to say that this was a safe space, where people are loved and supported. It was the perfect transition back into the slow ballad that was so rudely interrupted. X Ambassadors have dates through July and will be at Austin City Limits in October. You can check out all their stops here. Listen to their song, “Joyful” here.
