Toad The Wet Sprocket, hailing from Santa Barbara, played a headlining show to an audience of new and old friendly faces in neighboring Ojai, California.
The set consisted of many tracks off of their latest album “New Constellation”, also sporting the nostalgia hit tunes that got them where they are today. Guitarist Todd Nichols played exclusively his own handmade guitars, also lending bassist Dean Dinning a custom blue 4 string. Drummer Randy Guss was M.I.A, being bittersweetly replaced by Josh Daubin. Honorary member Jonathan Kingham played the keyboard and mandolin.
The crowd responded positively to singer Glen Phillip’s witty remarks and choice of songs, which ultimately got everybody up and on their feet for all of the encore. The band holds a tight-knit fan base that thrives off of being kind to one another. If you’re looking for a band that holds their friends and fans over their popularity, it’s Toad The Wet Sprocket.
