San Antonio is bringing back rock n roll with River City Rockfest returning for its 6th year. What used to be held on Memorial Day weekend has now shifted over to the fall.
San Antonio is known for being a rock n roll city, and since this festival started, this festival has seen more than thousands of rock fans coming together for one night with lots of their favorite rock bands.
The festival used to be a part of Rock’s loudest month, which features over 5 festivals in different cities and states where River City Rockfest took place the same weekend as Rocklahoma.
I think it was a smart and good choice for the festival to move later in the year, seeing as bands that appeared on the Rocklahoma lineup would also appear on the River City Rockfest lineup and have a similar headliner. It was also tough to book bands that would decline and play Rocklahoma instead seeing as that is a two-day festival.
This year’s lineup includes headliner Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Chevelle, Joan Jett and many more. Let us know who you’re most excited to see at the festival.
