As a long time fan of Hall & Oates, I was ecstatic when I found I’d get to cover their stop in Reno Nevada at the Reno Events Center. Because of their fame, there was no need for an opener, the people came to see Hall & Oates and that’s what they got! After a short intro that consisted of short snippets of their greatest hits displayed on the giant LED screen, the live band, as well as Hall and Oates, took the stage.
The kicked the show of proper with an all-time classic, Man-Eater. From start to finish the show consisted of all their hits including I Can’t Go For That, Out Of Touch, and Sara Smile. The giant LED wall behind them made for cool visuals throughout the event. The lighting itself was also on point, mostly consisting of keeping the spotlight on Hall & Oates. When the show seemed to be finished they came back on stage for a four-song encore that consisted of Rich Girl, Kiss on My List, Private Eyes, and You Make My Wish Come True. Overall it was a fantastic show. It’s nice to see Hall & Oates still rocking shows after all this time.
