Indie rock band Sea Girls are quite simply a force to be reckoned with. Despite having only being formed in 2015, the band consisting of members; Henry Camamile, Rory Young, Andrew Dawson, and Oli Khan have quickly taken the UK by storm. The band released their debut album ‘Open up your head’ in August of 2020 amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and the boys have clearly kept busy as they recently announced a second album is coming in January 2022 titled, ‘Homesick’. We were lucky enough to catch up with the lads at the Manchester Academy for the final show of a completely sold-out UK tour, support for the night came from the amazing Coach Party.

The atmosphere as soon as you stepped into the building was electric, nothing but positive vibes filled the air and it was destined to be a great night from the very start. One thing that has to be said about Sea Girls is that you haven’t truly experienced this band until you have seen them live and, in the flesh, they are truly spectacular and put on a show for the ages every single time they grace the stage. And tonight, was no exception. The night kicked off with a bang as the boys entered the academy venue to, ‘Call me out’ and followed it up with the equally as great track, “Violet”, these two songs alone set the tempo for the night and the performances were very well received by the adoring fans in attendance. The boys were in top form for the entire night and gave it their all on what was the penultimate show of an incredible tour, we were also treated to an epic performance of their recently released track ‘’Again, Again’ from the forthcoming new album and if this song is anything to go by the boys once again have another hit record on the way, so be prepared…
