After four years without a UK tour, the legendary Glass Animals made their long-awaited return with their Dreamland tour. The British electro pop band consists of childhood friends; Dave Bayley, Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew MacFarlane, the group are slowly but surely becoming a global success thanks to their unique sound and phenomenal musical talents. Just this week Glass Animals have set a new US chart record, with their slow-burning indie hit ‘Heat Waves’ reaching the top 10 after 42 weeks in the top 100. We were lucky enough to see the boys perform at a sold-out show in Manchester down at the O2 Victoria Warehouse. Support for the night came from Biig-Piig.

The tour production for this run is simply insane. From the giant LED screens playing stunning visuals to the incredibly cool light up basketball hoop, not to mention the giant diving board on the edge of the stage, it was as the tour would suggest, a dreamland. As the timer onstage finally finished its count down the lights dimmed and screams poured into the Manchester venue, the childhood friends entered the stage together and kicked off the night with the recently released, ‘I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)’. There was nothing but love and great vibes throughout the entire night and the group were at their best for the whole show, the night closed out with a beautiful encore of ‘Heat Waves’ and it was a show for the ages.
