Ana Gabriel performed to a sold out crowd at the Smart Financial Center and wow, was it an incredible show.

The show started with fog surrounding the stage, the only thing you heard was Ana Gabriel’s voice singing an acapella version of her song “Huelo Asoleado”, the entire crowd cheered in excitement looking for the artist. After the song ended Ana finally made her way to the stage and the crowd cheered for her as they were finally seeing their favorite artist in the flesh. She thanked everyone for showing up on time to the show and talked with the audience for a few minutes, trying to give the other attendees time to get to their seats and in the show. She performed more of her songs such as “Destino”, “Baila El Reggae”, and “A Pesar de Todo”, giving us a range of her songs from her entire career.

There was a point during the set where Gabriel sang two songs dedicated to Juan Gabriel and Rocio Durcal, they were “Hasta Que Te Conoci” and “No Me Digas”, she paid homage to them with these songs and definitely did them justice, you could see how excited the crowd was to hear these songs be performed live. She performed more of her hit songs such as “Quien Como Tu”, “Luna” and “No Te Hago Falta”. As soon as the introduction to “Simplemente Amigos” started the entire crowd roared in screams and cheers. This is one of her biggest hits, and fan favorites including my own. There were times when she sang the song, and then let the crowd sing and harmonize together, it was truly incredible.

She thanked everyone for coming out to the show and left the stage for a few minutes, the crowd cheered and screamed for encores. Gabriel came back out and everyone once again cheered for her. She performed her last two songs for the night, “Ay! Amor” and “Mi Gusto Es”. The show was beyond spectacular, if the performer ever comes to a city near you I highly encourage you to attend and have a great time.
