It was one of my post anticipated concerts of this month and after your listen to their music it will probably be yours too. There is something magical about the Mowgli’s. This six piece rock band from Los Angeles California. There music has a sensational charm to it that I haven’t heard in music of today in a while. It combines the undertones of a good rock with the magical sound of pop beats. They then in rich their songs with meaningful lyrics. There is a certain luck in finding music that sounds both good live than as an on the record. This seven piece band does just that. Colin Dieden, Katie Earl, Dave Appelbaum, Josh Hogan, Matthew Di Panni, and Andy Warren form what we know as The Mowgli’s. There latest full length LP Where’d Your Weekend Go? was just released September of last year. During last Thursday’s performance in Dallas, TX we were able to hear most this record live. The crowd was super excited about their performance it was insane. They were singing along to every songs from their set. There was also a birthday intervention- they wished Happy Birthday to a couple people in the crowd. What band does that? It shows they care about the people that care about them. There isn’t much to say about that night other than it was FREAKING AWESOME filled with amazing tunes, and great vibes. If you have yet to see The Mowgli’s live I highly recommend it. Class musicians every single one of them! (Look out for our interview with the band coming this month!)
