Alina Baraz put on an electric performance for her sold-out show at the iconic Wiltern in Los Angeles as a part of her Keep Me in Love Tour.
As I pulled up to the venue, I saw a long line of fans that went far down the street and around the corner waiting to get inside the venue. Walking into the venue, the stage was dressed with green plants, creating a comforting presence.
As the lights dimmed, the fans screamed so loudly you could feel the excitement fill the air. Alina Baraz steps out elegantly wearing a gorgeous black dress. She is truly shining and stunning. Her voice is just as beautiful and ever so smooth.
She begins the night with her songs “Morocco”, “More Than Enough”, and “Endlessly”. You can hear her fans captivated as they sing every word while Alina’s voice makes us all melt. The visuals behind her were very soft and symbolic of the feelings she sang about. We see images of the moon, an eclipse, roses, and more all of which pertain to the feelings of love and closeness to one another. Alina’s music really captures the intimacy and rawness of love and you can feel that in the atmosphere. It was very endearing to see fans all around me embrace their partners singing along to Alina’s music to one another.
Alina treated her fans with a performance of her unreleased song, “Don’t Buy Me Roses”. My favorite part of the night was her closing performance of her beautiful song “Electric”. She brought out a very special guest to sing with her for her Los Angeles show. She began the song by singing her verses on stage solo, when suddenly Khalid came out on stage surprising everyone to sing his verse of the song. The fans screamed and cheered louder than ever. The chemistry between them, both vocally and in their presence, is on fire. Their voices intertwined are so smooth and silky. They sing about vulnerability and love so effortlessly. It was truly a special moment to see these two artists share the stage together.
Overall, the show was divine and the vibes were beautiful. This last tour only circulated through California. We really hope to see Alina Baraz tour across the country soon. Everyone needs to hear her lovely music in person. When she plays in a city near you, you do not want to miss her show!
