Music, Why Not!

Alison Wonderland @ Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater – Austin, TX

The cold didn’t stop the colorfully outfitted attendees that crowded into the historic Stubb’s on Sunday for the second night of the Lost My Mind tour in Austin, TX. Though the night was chilly, the crowd was on fire the moment Dillon Francis stepped out on stage to an uproar of cheers. His set was full of energy, effortlessly mixing in nostalgic tunes (including the Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way” with his hit songs “Get Low” and “Coming Over.” A flurry of piñatas were tossed into the crowd and seen waving throughout the night.

By the time Alison Wonderland took the stage, the venue was packed in, ready for another round of crazed energy. Fans lined the barricade with banners and cut outs of her face. As her flaming logo lit the LED wall behind her, Alison appeared on stage with her hands clasped above her head to an ominous intro before luring the crowd in, asking “it’s Sunday, are you ready for Church?” The song, off her chart topping album Awake was met with enthusiastic applause. The Lost My Mind tour is just the next step in Alison Wonderland’s growth as an artist. Co-headlining with Dillon Francis, she also played the electric cello and sang live, further validating the many accolades she has received for her steps of growth as an artist and producer. The Lost My Mind tour is an erratic blend of light and sound, and a party you definitely do not want to miss.
