Setting out on a tour titled, ‘Best tour ever’ could set you up for high expectations that are very hard to reach. However, as expected, American rap star Aminé would have no problems whatsoever in reaching these expectations, if not smashing them in the process! The 28-year-old is knee-deep into his successful career after his debut single ‘Caroline’ catapulted his music into the spotlight and has lit the way ever since. More recently, Aminé released his highly anticipated mixtape “TwoPointFive” in November 2021 merely two days after announcing the project. Aminé then announced a leg of shows throughout the UK and Europe swiftly after, this would be the stars return to the UK after his previous tour three years ago. We were lucky enough to catch Aminé as he took over Manchester’s O2 Ritz for a very special and fiery night. Support for the tour and night came from Nemzzz.

After being warmed up by Nemzzz and Aminé’s personal DJ the crowd were ready and raring to go. The giant LED screens on stage lit up the dark room and Aminé practically bounced onto the stage like a raging ball of energy. Aminé is born to be on stage and his live shows are simply incredible, the man would go on to play a 30-song set list which completely blew my mind and despite the long track list, the show flew by in no time! Aminé took those in attendance on a tour through his discography, playing a range of songs from all of his releases including his debut album “Good for you” and his sophomore album “Limbo”. He took plenty of time to talk to his adoring fans, encouraging them to call themselves beautiful throughout the night and even inviting a few lucky fans onstage to join him in his performances. Aminé would play some of his most popular songs and fan favourites during his set like the previously mentioned ‘Caroline’, ‘Reel it in’ and ‘Spice Girl’, he certainly blew my expectations out of the water with his incredible high energy, passionate show in Manchester and I think everyone in the room would certainly agree that this really is infact his ‘Best tour ever’.
