Los Angeles was fortunate to witness 5 Seconds of Summer’s Ashton Irwin’s solo debut performance live at The Belasco, celebrating the release of his second album, *Blood on the Drums*!
Ashton Irwin is undeniably a rockstar! He started his show with ‘Straight To Your Heart,’ instantly amping up the energy! The vibe in the room was incredible, with fans singing along and having a blast. We usually see Ashton behind the drums, so we loved watching him take the lead as a frontman! However, Ashton made sure to incorporate some drum solos throughout the show, allowing us to see him shine both behind the mic and behind the drums. He proved just how incredibly musically talented he is.
Ashton played every single track off his new album and told fans that this was their live listening party! Fans were absolutely thrilled to be a part of this experience.
A highlight of the night was the performance of ‘California Holds Her Breath.’ During the outro, Ashton encouraged the audience to sing along, gradually letting their voices take over with the line, “California holds her breath tonight.” The crowd’s singing was powerful and heartfelt, with cell phones lighting up the venue. It was a beautiful moment that highlighted the profound connection between his music and his fans.
As the show came to an end, fans threw rose after rose on stage, showering their love for Ashton. The band gathered with Ashton for a loving group hug. Fans were crying and left in awe. Ashton Irwin put on an incredible performance as a solo artist. This is only the beginning. We can’t wait to see Ashton’s solo career continue to grow and flourish!
