Day 1 of the festival did not disappoint and Day 2 also managed to surpass expectations. Gates opened at 12pm, but that did not stop fans from lining up earlier in the day to get a good spot to see some of their favorite artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, DJO, Doechii, and many more!
Saturday was a packed day of back to back must see artists, starting off with Yoke Lore at the Miller Lite stage at 1:30pm. For a set pretty early in the day, he managed to draw a pretty big crowd, unfortunately he was having some tech issues due to the heat but he managed to play along and handled the set like a true professional. The next set that was a must catch was Olivia Dean at the American Express stage, the English singer drew in a pretty big crowd as well, she expressed excitement in being back for weekend 2 and how she was excited to play songs from her latest album “The Art of Loving”. She played songs such as “Nice to Each Other”, “Messy” and “Man I Need”, she is definitely someone that should be on everyone’s radar.
At 3pm attendees had a very hard decision to make on who to watch – Ocean Alley, Dizzy Fae, Joey Valence & Brae, and Spacey Jane are all hard choices. At 4:30pm we returned to the American Express to see Marina. There were plenty of fans dressed in outfits based on Marina’s career. The singer opened her set with “PRINCESS OF POWER” and played newer songs such as “CUPID’S GIRL” and “BUTTERFLY” as well as some classic fan favorites like “How to Be a Heartbreaker”, “Froot” and “Primadonna”.
From 5pm until about 7pm – the choices were getting more difficult on picking artists to see. Latin Mafia, Fujii Kaze, and Magdalena Bay all played pretty close to each other. Pierce The Veil and Doechii were also playing close to the same time and we managed to catch both of these artists. Each one brought a unique vibe to the festival and had us amazed at their sets. The next round of artists performing close to each other were Zeds Dead, Japanese Breakfast and DJO. Each of these artists brought in incredible sized crowds, whether attendees were wanting to catch an Electronic set or an Indie Pop vibe, there was something for everyone to see.
The night ended with two great headliners, The Strokes and Sabrina Carpenter. We managed to catch Sabrina’s set and it did not disappoint, the American Express stage was incredibly packed, comparable to Chappell Roan in 2024, we knew it would be a great way to end the night. The lights dimmed, an interlude played and soon Sabrina was out on stage opening with “Busy Woman”, all the attendees cheered in excitement and followed along singing in unison. Sabrina played songs such as “Taste”, “Manchild”, “because i liked a boy” and many more!
Mid set, we were surprised with another interlude which soon followed by a complete outfit change from Sabrina, everyone applauded and cheered her on as she performed “Nonsense”. This second half of the set included some of her more viral songs like “Feather”, “Bed Chem”, and “Juno”, which had Olivia Dean as the arrestee for the song, a tradition in many of Sabrina’s shows. Following this song, Sabrina stated that she had a surprise for us, she brought out The Chicks to perform “Wide Open Spaces” with her followed by “Please Please Please” – everyone was truly surprised as expected. The set ended with “Espresso” and fireworks displaying throughout the stage, concluding the second day of the festival.
