Ava Max performed to a sold out crowd at the House of Blues on June 15th as part of her first headlining tour, “On Tour (Finally)” and wow, she gave us all a night to remember.
Fans were lined up for hours in the Houston heat wanting to get a good spot to see their favorite artist. Once doors opened, everyone immediately rushed in to be as close as possible to the stage. Support for the night came from Band of Silver and The Scarlet Opera, both who hyped up the crowd for what was yet to come.
It was finally time for the show to start, the lights dimmed and a giant diamond was revealed on stage. The entire venue cheered in excitement, Ava Max came on stage and opened the set with “Diamonds & Dancefloors”, immediately everyone started singing their hearts out. The choreography, vocals, and production within the first few minutes of the show gave us all a hint at how the night was going to go, and it was something that excited us all. Ava continued her set by singing songs such as “Who’s Laughing Now”, “Hold Up (Wait a Minute)” and even “Kings & Queens”.
Ava Max took a moment to thank fans for coming out to the show and encouraged everyone to have the best time possible. During “Maybe You’re the Problem” she brought a fan onstage named Spencer and they both killed it. Max and her dancers were on point during their choreography, songs like “Cold as Ice”, “Belladonna” and “Million Dollar Baby” showed us some great dance moves across the board. The show ended with one of her viral hits “Sweet But Psycho”, the entire venue was filled with the crowd singing back to her, it was incredible. The final song of the night was “The Motto”, Ava thanked everyone for coming out to the show and wished for fans to get home safely. Ava Max is the definition of a true pop star – if she ever comes to a city near you please make sure to attend, it’s a show you will not regret!
