Badflower brought the heat Saturday night as they visited The Masquerade in Atlanta. It was Halloween Eve, so there were quite a few interesting costumes.

In Badflower fashion, they came on stage after a prerecorded audio of lead singer Josh Katz doing some goofy scene. The crowd responded to that with laughs and to the band coming on stage with an eruption of shouts. Fans along the barricade were super into it, pointing at the band and singing along. A little further in the crowd, fans were jumping around more while still yelling the lyrics back. Safe to say, they were excited.

Badflower played tracks from their new album, “This Is How The World Ends”, some singles, and songs from their first album, “OK, I’M SICK”. At one point, Katz asked the crowd who had listened to their newest album, the crowd reacted with yells, he asked “okay, who just lied?”, and a dude in a unicorn onesie (who happens to be my friend) replied with a loud “woooo!”. This got the whole band laughing before they dove into the next song.

Josh took a minute to describe a Tik Tok he saw of someone else coincidentally also named Josh who covered one of their songs. Katz invited the fan on stage and he sang the song with Badflower!

They went on to play both old and new songs and the crowd kept up the entire time. A special feeling ran through the venue as they played fan favorite “Promise Me”. Josh Katz ran off for about thirty seconds and came back on and got down on the barricade and sang into the fan’s faces. The energy went way up as they played “Animal” and stayed that way until the end of the show.

Overall, Atlanta missed Badflower as much as Badflower missed them. A few Halloween outfits for the festive mood but mainly high energy and lots of yelling the lyrics back is what Badflower brought to The Masquerade on October 30th.
