What did your Sunday night look like? If you were one of the people that attended The Bastille concert at The Verizon Theater in Texas then let me just tell you your night probably looked amazing. I would say it is one of the best shows I have seen this year thus far. They are absolute legends on stage. Their energy was off the roof and the crowd was taking it all on like champs. It is truly refreshing to see a band that can rock out on stage with lights and production, but that can also maintain their music at a high standard and sound like the record. The British Indie Pop band known as Bastille consists of Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson, and Chris Wood. Their unique sound and structure of their live shows have made them an undeniable success. Their perfomance was incredible. Singing almost every song of their new record Wild Worlds (there is 19 songs in the record and all of them are spectacular). The way the band interacted with the audience was pretty cool. Dan stepped down from the stage onto the pit to sing to a good amount of immensely excited fans. Tears were shed.. but only those of happiness and pure excitement of seeing the lead singer of your favorite band sing five feet away from you. He actually did this twice. The second consisted of an electrifying drum solo. It is by far a must see show when they come play a city near you. They also mentioned the story of how they made the cover art of their latest album which was pretty cool to hear. Not only that, but their attention to the lights and backdrop are amazing. It seemed as if the last bit had been carefully planned, yet they were able to make it thrilling and exciting. It was a night of bright neon blue lights, great music including sick beats, killer vocals, great times with your best mates, and memories you will never forget.
