The Dead 2 The World Tour rolled through The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX on May 26. The opening acts consisted of newly signed Roc Nation artist, Gashi and the electrifying queen Elohim.
To kick off the night Gashi had a special announcement to make. He had announced that he had recently just signed to JayZ’s record label Roc Nation. The crowd roared and cheered as he performed JayZ and Kanye’s classic song Ni**as in Paris. Elohim came up next and the crowd immediately started loving it. I was so excited to hear her perform her song “I want you” for the second time. The energy from the crowd was so full of joy.
The night was getting closer to an end and out came blackbear. He had a coffin-shaped piano to his side and I thought it was perfect he played it for his song “Dead to me”. For his final song he played “do re mi” and I was at the very back of the venue watching the crowd jump for the entire song and it was such an amazing view when the confetti exploded into the air as the beat dropped.
