From the first notes of “All Choked Up”, BRONCHO put on a hell of a show at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The indie outfit from Oklahoma has a sweet, catchy, and bright sound on their record – not too far removed from contemporaries MGMT, albeit less psychedelic. Live, however, the bass is kicked up and their tunes take on a driving quality that takes their show to the next level.
Their light show was impressive for an intimate setting. Fog weaved in between the multicolored lights creating a visually striking and powerful aesthetic to the show. Highlights included “Boys Got to Go” (which absolutely kicked ass live), “Get In My Car”, and a lot of their older tunes that were warmly received. BRONCHO will be touring through the end of November, ending at the Globe Hall in Denver.
