Cage the Elephant @ Alexandra Palace – London, U.K. (support: SWMRS)

Cage The Elephant amazed every single person last week -feb 22 at Alexandra Palace in London and there are no words that can begin to describe what went there that night.

Their support band “SWMRS” joined them and took the crowd off their feet. SWMRS opened up with some old songs of them and followed with new songs from their recent album “BERKELEY’S ON FIRE”. Among the songs the band was playing, were : “Miley”,“Lose Lose Lose” and “April In Houston.” The energy in the Whole venue never settled for one second while the band preformed on the Alexandra stage.

By the time Cage The Elephant finally came up on stage the crowd was full on ready for their performance and heavily enthusiastic for all the songs that were going to play along with the voice of front man “Matt Shultz.” Delivered any expectation the set opened up with fire, and I mean real hot fire by the two sides of the stage in the Palace. Throw out the whole set the band dazzled the crowd from one song to another and just built the anticipation in every song that ended for the next one. The lights and the stage just added to this whole thing and helped capture the magic that was clearly real and was right there, in the moment of the performance and in between the songs. Some of the songs were played : “Too Late to Say Goodbye”,“Spiderhead” and “Ready to Let Go”.

There is something about this American Rock band that is simply beautiful to witness, whether it’s as a photographer and throw the lens or just one of the people listening, dancing and shouting in the audience.
