Coming off an incredible Austin City Limits Music Festival performance during weekend one, Cage The Elephant brought their high energetic set down the road to San Antonio, Texas. Along with them, they brought hey, nothing, an incredible emo folk duo to get the crowd going.

hey, nothing had a great set to start off the night, with some songs being energetic and others being a bit mellow. They showed very raw and emotional feelings in the lyrics for each of the songs they sang which connected with many fans as we saw them singing along. For them to be an opener for Cage The Elephant, suited the crowd very well for what’s to come later in the night.

As the lights went out the crowd cheered heavily awaiting the band to come out on stage. Lead singer Matt Shultz came out with high energy as he always does, jumping around on stage and going berserk. The band opened up with “Broken Boy” which had a good amount of pyro throughout the song.

Cage The Elephant are known for interacting with the crowd very well and going wild on stage, which they managed to do once again. Notable songs they performed included, “Too late to say goodbye,” “Trouble,” “Ain’t no rest for the wicked,” ultimately closing the night with “Cigarette Daydreams,” and “Come a little closer.”

Fans from San Antonio don’t have to wait too long to see Cage The Elephant perform again as they will be rocking the stage at ACL once again during weekend two.
