Cigarettes After Sex continues to redefine the concept of being one of the world’s most prominent cult bands in the music industry. Their current ongoing tour found them playing sold-out shows in nearly every city nationwide and overseas.

Following their homecoming performance in El Paso, Texas, the renowned ambient pop band, Cigarettes After Sex, is set to grace us with their presence here at the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas.  The atmosphere is charged with the collective energy of thousands of devoted fans, witnessing the band return since their last show in 2017.

An ambient light is cast out from the stage as Greg Gonzales emerges from the shadows and takes the stage performing their opening song “Crush”. The crowd’s anticipation peaked, and the air crackled with excitement.

Attending a Cigarettes After Sex concert is like stepping into a dreamscape. An experience that wraps you in this intimate performance that feels personal, where the lyrics and melodies of their music explore themes of love, longing, and nostalgia. On songs like “Pistol” &  “K” strike a deeply emotional chord you can feel the raw, heartfelt sentiment in every note.

Throughout the show, he takes the time to share his love and appreciation for their fans coming out to see them. Greg even shares a moment with a fan in the crowd strumming his guitar to the melody of “Sweet”. Her reaction was so pure, I’m really happy I was able to capture that moment.

They wrapped up their show with “Opera House” as their encore song. A very tender and heartfelt song that resonated with a peaceful atmosphere. The last few notes start to fade, and as the curtain slowly closes, the band gracefully takes their bow, expressing their final thanks to their fans.
