Conan Gray @ 02 Victoria Warehouse – Manchester, U.K.

Viral-pop sensation Conan Gray has one of the most loyal and passionate fanbases in the music industry at the moment. This couldn’t have been any clearer as the American singer-songwriter jetted over from the States to play a string of very special shows across the UK and Europe as part of his biggest world tour yet. The 23-year-old is set to release his second studio album, “Superache” at the end of June which follows the success of Conan’s debut studio album, “Kid Krow” which was released in March 2020. Conan’s debut album featured the commercially successful singles ‘Maniac’ and ‘Heather’ and he released the first single titled, ‘Yours’ from his upcoming album just two weeks ago. We were lucky enough to catch Conan Gray as he took over the Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse for a sold-out show that was highly anticipated amongst his followers. Support for the night came from Mallrat.

The warehouse venue was lit up entirely by a gigantic LED screen and cheers began to fill the packed-out venue, it was time for the concert to begin. In spectacular fashion, Conan Gray then appeared atop of the LED screens as he got the show started with “Wish you were sober”. Conan then came down from the lifted platform and bounced across the stage, embracing those in attendance and quite simply played his heart out the entire night. In what was an extremely touching moment, Conan seemingly parted the gigantic Manchester crowd as two girls made their way forward and were passed the microphone where they both bravely came out as pansexual to the crowd and a roar of cheers filled the room. It was a beautiful moment that I and many in the room won’t be forgetting for a long time. The night was full of outfit changes and the LED screens provided multiple different stage looks making it some of the best production I have seen in this venue in a long time, Conan would go on to play fan favourites like “Telepath”, “People Watching” and “Astronomy” as the show played on long into the night. Conan closed out the concert with “Maniac” and “Heather” and the roof almost came off the place, it was the perfect way to end a perfect show.
