2023 has already been a storm of a year for American singer-songwriter David Kushner with his incredible ability to write hard-hitting emotional ballads finally being recognised across the world. The 23-year-old has been writing songs since the 12th grade and in 2022 saw his first bit of huge success when his track “Miserable Man” went viral on TikTok and earned him his first placing on global charts. David followed up this success with his debut EP in 2022 that featured the aforementioned song and also his latest successful work at the time in “Mr Forgettable”, a truly heartbreaking song detailing some personal moments in David’s life. David Kushner ended 2022 with a mind-blowing 556 million streams within a year of releasing music. This would just be the beginning of the rollercoaster for David Kushner as this year he would go onto release “Daylight” which is rapidly growing to be one of the songs of the year and already has 324 million streams on Spotify alone. David Kushner also accompanied his successful releases by joining several huge tours, opening for mega stars like Lauv and Dean Lewis. Now however, it was time for David Kushner to take the incredibly well-deserved spotlight and set out on his very own tour as he came over to the UK for his first ever headlining tour outside of the states.

David Kushner quickly sold-out Manchester’s Gorilla venue for the opening night of the run of shows and was fast in upgrading to the newly opened New Century Hall venue, to which he was close to selling out once again. David Kushner took to the stage to great the Manchester crowd who couldn’t have been happier to see him. David seemed a little nervous at the first song which is completely understandable with him being so early into his touring career, but as the night went on, he was almost unrecognizable from that first song as he absolutely brought the house down and more than proved he is fit for that stage, and if not bigger stages! David Kushner played all of his fan favorite hits to his adoring crowd who time and time again serenaded back to him, knowing each and every word to his songs. It truly was a star defining performance and I can put good money on a bet that this won’t be David Kushner’s last time in Manchester and the UK as he is destined for greatness and will be playing at even bigger venues in the near-future. Support for the night came from Chance Pena.
