Dean Lewis @ Manchester O2 Apollo – Manchester, U.K.

Australian singer song-writer Dean Lewis is rapidly cementing his name as one of the best songwriters to come from the land down under, with his impeccable talents and skills when it comes to writing some of the most emotional songs imaginable. Dean Lewis first made waves in the industry with his single “Waves” in 2016 before following up this success with another massive record in “Be Alright” in 2018. Since this initial success, the popstar has gone on to release several successful singles and his debut album ‘A place we knew’ was well received with his ever-growing fanbase across the world. Dean Lewis released his highly anticipated second studio album ‘The Hardest Love’ in November 2022 which featured his latest huge track “How do I say goodbye?” which is one of the most emotional and heartfelt records he has ever released, and holds a lot of personal meaning to the Australian singer. Alongside this album, Dean Lewis announced the “Future is bright” world tour, taking his music on the road through Australia and New Zealand, USA and Europe. With Dean Lewis finally returning to play some huge shows in the UK, it would be his first time returning since his last successful show in 2019 and included sold-out shows all over. We were lucky enough to catch Dean Lewis as he played his biggest ever show in the UK down in Manchester at the iconic Manchester O2 Apollo. Support for the night came from the brilliant Billy Locket and Michael Aldag.

Dean Lewis’ takeover of the Manchester O2 Apollo was instantly one to remember and he left the audience blown away with a worthy performance in this historic venue. Dean Lewis took to the stage to a plethora of screams from his adoring fans in attendance, the stage was decorated with inspiration from the artwork of his second studio album and it certainly added to the atmosphere of his epic performance. Dean Lewis would go on to play a whole range of his singles and fan favourites throughout the night, leaving no dry eyes in the house by the end of the concert. Dean’s energy onstage was also not something to be ignored as he had the audience eating out of the palm of his hands for his more upbeat songs and played his heart out both vocally and with his infamous acoustic guitar skills. Dean Lewis is without a doubt one of the nicest guys in the music business and this was more than apparent on stage with Dean constantly taking the time to talk and connect with fans in the venue, with each interaction feeling like an intimate serenade that was both personal and meaningful. Dean Lewis simply keeps continuing to get better and better with his music always making for an emotional listen, but one that you can’t help but play over and over again.
