After claiming the prestigious Rising Star Award at the 2023 Brit Awards, British R&B pop girl group FLO have been climbing from strength to strength and there seems to be no stopping these girls. The group consists of school friends Stella Quaresma, Jorja Douglas and Renée Downer and have cemented themselves as one of the best, if not the best, girl group to come out of the UK in recent years. Having only formed in 2019, FLO released their breakthrough single ‘Cardboard Box’ before their debut EP “The Lead” was put into the airwaves in 2022. These girls are the true definition of hard work, just this year they have collaborated with the legendary Missy Elliot on a recent single titled “Fly Girl” and Flo even assisted the one and only Stormzy on his track “Hide & Seek” earlier this year. With all the single releases and aforementioned awards, FLO also set out to play their biggest ever shows in the Uk in both Manchester and London, before setting off on a US tour. We were lucky enough to catch FLO as they played a very special show in Manchester at the New Century Hall to a super sold-out crowd. The show was full of true star defining performances from FLO, along with incredible production and choreography the whole way through it. The setlist was topped with all their hits and even a few unreleased tracks that we hope to see on the girls’ debut studio album one day! Support for the night came from DJ Donnie Sunshine, Tiana Blake and Natanya.
