After the minor setback, the rest of the festival went on without a hitch. The prominent headliners delivered what was expected from them. Flying Lotus, the experimental electronic producer, came out swinging with an arsenal of visuals and sound. After the Flying Lotus set, the crowd was already warmed up for Run the Jewels. Run the Jewels is Killer Mike, a veteran in the Atlanta rap scene for the better half of his life and the second half is EL-P, an outstanding legendary record producer that has nothing but 24k solid gold in his discography. The fans got what they came for, RTJ delivering banger after banger from their three critically acclaimed albums. Overall day one was a success. It was filled with lively music and excited people.
