Foster The People @ Outer Limits – Detroit

The line was wrapped around Outer Limits Lounge in Hamtramck, Michigan before 10pm. Foster The People fans waited eagerly for the show before to clear out so they could enjoy the intimate after party. The Sacred Hearts Club band invited fans from their DTE Amphitheater show to come out to the Detroit suburb for a CBGB-like night of rock ‘n roll.

Outer Limits Lounge sits indiscreetly on the street corner of a neighborhood in Hamtramck. The show before was sold out, the venue reaching capacity quickly. Even regulars were frustrated they could not enter the bar. Once inside, fans experienced a sweaty and hot atmosphere, amped up by the local bands and fans. That was not even a bother to Foster The People’s fans nor the band themselves. (Shout out to Outer Limits for having a free water jug on the counter in the back!)

Foster The People gave fans at Outer Limits every ounce of energy, if not more, than what they experienced at DTE. The heat from the packed out crowd could not bother them. Playing a couple of their own hits, Foster The People mixed in old classics, such as The Kinks “You Really Got Me” and The Ramones “Blitzkreig Bop”, plus an excellent Iggy Pop cover, guaranteed to make even CBGB founder Hilly Kristal proud.

To round out the night, the band ended around midnight with their classic, “Don’t Stop (Color On the Walls)”. It was the perfect way to wrap up the night of rock ‘n roll. If you get a chance to attend a Sacred Hearts Club after party, take full advantage.

You get to see the band like you’ve never seen them before. It’s a way for both the band and the fans to enjoy classic songs that inspired each one to listen to or play music.

Foster The People is still currently on tour with Paramore. To check out all their tour dates, go to https://www.fosterthepeople.com. You can buy or stream their latest album, Sacred Hearts Club, on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play or Spotify or directly from the Foster The People website.

Be sure to check out Sacred Hearts Club and catch Foster The People when they come to a venue near you. You will be in for an incredible treat.
