From supporting Olivia Rodrigo on her first ever US tour to now selling out her own headline shows across the UK, American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams is already having a ground-breaking 2022. The 22-year-old released her second EP, “This Is What It Feels Like” in November 2021, which featured fan-favourite singles like ‘Feels Like’ and ‘Rockland’. The record was well-received amongst Gracie’s adoring fanbase and it’s certainly a tug of the heartstrings record with phenomenal performances from Gracie and incredible song writing. Gracie announced the This Is What It Feels Like in December of 2021, playing venues all over Europe and selling out many of those in the process. We were lucky enough to see Gracie in action as she touched down in Manchester for a sold-out show at the Manchester Club Academy. Support for the night came from fellow rising star, Alix Page.

As Gracie Abrams fans spilled into the Manchester venue, they immediately filled the room with incredible energy as they waited for Gracie to take the stage. As soon as the lights dimmed you knew it was going to be a special night. Gracie crept out onto the stage and got the night started in spectacular fashion with ‘Feels Like’, a very fitting way to start the night if I do say so. Love and good vibes flowed through the venue throughout the entire night and it was so clear that Gracie had immense amounts of gratitude for all of her fans, especially those in Manchester who were present at the show. As the night continued Gracie would go on to play more fan favourites like, ‘21’, ‘Unlearn’ and ‘Friend’. A highlight for many on this night was when Gracie paraded around the stage with a tiara and a pride flag which she was gifted from the audience. The night ended with a special encore of ‘I miss you, I’m sorry’ and I can’t wait to see what Gracie Abrams brings for a potential debut album as I have no doubt in my mind that she will be headlining and selling out much bigger venues in the very near future.
