Illenium brought his incredible ‘Trilogy’ show to Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, California this past weekend making EDM history. As the headliner himself, Illenium played three separate sets sending off his first three albums, Ashes, Awake, and Ascend in addition to his latest album titled: Illenium. A whopping 70,000 fans filled the huge stadium eager to see Illenium’s renowned show. Walking into the venue felt so exhilarating. Nearly every fan, including myself, walked in wearing Illenium’s custom Los Angeles jersey showing their love and support for him.
There were two main stages, one in the center and one in the back. Spread around the floor were several LED screens that displayed images and broadcasted the show for viewers sitting higher up the stands. Above us all was Illenium’s symbol a grand Phoenix beautifully made and visible for everybody. Walking in, none of us were ready for the insane production to come. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as fans from across the globe gathered to witness the culmination of Illenium’s visionary trilogy journey.
The fans were welcomed by his opener, NETSKY, who played an infectious set for us drum and bass fans. He got the fans stirring with excitement and ready for a fun night ahead.
As the clock struck six, the stadium erupted into a kaleidoscope of lights and pulsating beats. Illenium emerged from the shadows and launched into a mesmerizing set that transcended the boundaries of sound and emotion.
The Trilogy show was a journey through time and space, weaving together tracks from Illenium’s iconic albums: Ashes, Awake, Ascend, and his latest album Illenium. Each song carried its own weight, from the haunting melodies of “Fractures” to the euphoric anthem of “Good Things Fall Apart.” The crowd moved in unison as Illenium’s music washed over them like a tidal wave of emotions. Fans, including myself, headbanged and cried altogether throughout the night.
As the night unfolded, special guests graced the stage, adding an extra layer of magic to an already unforgettable evening. Collaborations with Said The Sky, Dabin, and other esteemed artists like Avril Lavigne and MAX sent shockwaves of energy rippling through the stadium. Illenium brought out his guitar and drums to add to the live music, electrifying the night.
The production of this show was outstanding. The visuals, the pyrotechnics, and the lasers were amazing. Polar Productions put on an insane laser show making history with the most amount of laser watts ever used at a show and the biggest laser show ever at a dance event. You can see the lasers from every angle of the stadium. The lasers were animated and danced in sync with every beat of the music. It was the most incredible laser show I had ever seen. Kudos to Polar Productions and the lighting team, they put on an absolutely mesmerizing show.
The night ended with a beautiful acoustic melody of his song “Nightlight” intertwined with other of his songs like “In Your Arms”. The stage lit up as bright as ever with an array of fireworks illuminating on our faces. As the final notes faded into the night, there was a collective sense of awe among the crowd. Illenium had not just put on a concert; he had created an experience—a journey that would linger in our hearts and minds long after the lights had dimmed. As the show came to an end our hearts were full and our spirits were lifted knowing that we had been part of something truly extraordinary!
