James Arthur @ Mountford Hall – Liverpool, U.K,

James Arthur MWN 2022

The winner of 2012 UK series of X-factor James Arthur visited Liverpool last weekend, he was promoting his new album ‘It’ll All Make Sense in the End’.

Munford Hall was packed, full to the brim with generations of fans. At the beginning of the night was Sonia Stein. This artist from London presented herself in the best light and I am sure she gained few more fans following her performance. Her delicate voice and laid back music matched perfectly to this unusually warm Saturday evening.

When the main attraction of the evening appeared on the stage the room was filled with screams of excitement. The concert started with ‘4000 Miles’ from the new album and the enthusiastic crowd was singing, jumping and clapping during every beat of the tune. The next song was ‘Medicine’ from the beginning this showed James’s great vocal form. ‘Sermon’ highlighted his rapping skills, when he filled in for Shotty Hoorah who appeared on the original album recording. The song also included a piece of a classic from ‘The Fugees’. James has a fantastic interaction with his audience , something which is not always happening with other artists.

‘Does anybody have their birthday today?’ asked James, the whole room went wild claiming to be,  but Two people, who allegedly were celebrating, were presented with ‘Happy Birthday’ sung by the whole band and everyone else present in Munford Hall. As the set progressed and amongst many songs we heard ‘Rewrite the Stars’ from the Greatest Showman,   often the whole room was filled with bright lights which showed cheerful, singing faces. Also we heard many hits like ‘Can I Be Him’ or ‘Impossible’. The artist showed himself from a very good side, highlighting his vocal capabilities, which assured everyone present that he deserved his place amongst the best pop artists in the UK. The gig was finished with ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ and the crowd joined in, In all it was a great show which finished this beautiful Saturday evening.
