Music, Why Not!

Joan @ The Masquerade – Atlanta, GA

Joan made their return to Atlanta since before the pandemic and it was incredible. Playing an upgraded venue from their last headline show here, Joan filled Hell at The Masquerade with people ready to dance and forget the outside world for a few hours. They had The Wldlfe open the show and they also had a good amount of people there who also knew their music. So overall, it was a night full of good times.

The Wldlfe’s explosive energy got the crowd dancing and ready for Joan with their stage presence and the fact that about half of the people in attendance already knew them. Plus, they did a Hannah Montana cover which really got everyone excited.

The night continued on with Joan. They upped their game from their last tour by including screens behind them that played different visuals throughout the set. They played a range of songs from their older stuff to the brand new music. “Ease Your Mind” really got the crowd bopping before Joan slowed it down for an acoustic portion. At one point, singer Alan Thomas swapped instruments with drummer Steven Rutherford as Rutherford came to the front and slapped the bass a bit which got everyone roaring.

Overall, the night was incredible and the crowd was very reactive to whatever was going on. Both bands really captivated this audience and put on amazing shows!
