Last Friday night I was able to see one of my favorite artist’s perform for the third time here in Dallas, TX. Accompanied by him was Bay Area-based artist Marc E. Bassy and newly signed band to Jon’s record label, Lawrence. Unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures of them due to an insane amount of traffic from this highly-attended show. I did get to see them perform most of their set and I could say that the crowd was truly loving it. I was, amazed by how the crowd knew every word to some of their songs after just a few weeks of getting signed to Beautiful Mind Records.

Up next was Marc E. Bassy and the ladies were definitely here for it. I was really looking forward to him performing his song ”You & Me” he collaborated with G-Eazy and it was totally what I expected. It was definitely a fan favorite as everyone put their hands up and swung them side to side.

Just a few minutes until the very much talented Jon Bellion was set to come out and the crowd started chanting “G S P”. The abbreviation for his 3rd studio album Glory Sound Prep. The lights dimmed down and along with everyone in the venue, my heart was ready. The intro to his album “Conversations with my Wife” comes on and everyone started singing along. Moments like these make me proud as a fan after seeing him grow so much as an artist. Seeing him perform songs you love consecutively one after the other just made me appreciate him even more as an artist. The night was coming to an end and on comes, my favorite song of the summer “Good Things Fall Apart”. I always told myself that he should collaborate with a DJ for a song and finally being able to see it happen made this song a blessing. I can’t wait to see what Jon has in store for us in the future but I’m truly looking forward to it. One of the greatest performers I’ve ever seen already makes me so excited to see him again sometime in the future.
