Joshua Bassett made a stop in Houston for The Complicated Tour and wow, was it an incredible show that shouldn’t have been missed.

Fans were outside the venue for hours waiting to get a good spot inside. Once doors opened, everyone immediately ran to the merch line or went to get a spot for the night. You could see fans get more and more excited for the show, they took pictures with each other, made new friends and talked about some of their favorite songs by Joshua. From VIP to regular GA – everyone was excited for what was yet to come. Support for the night came from Jenna Raine and Lindsey Lomis.

It was finally time for the show to start, the lights dimmed and little by little Bassetts band members started taking the stage. Fans started screaming and cheering in excitement, soon Joshua ran out on stage and jumped from the stage to the catwalk. He opened with “Feel Something” and immediately the venue was filled with the voices of fans and himself singing the song. Right off the bat he interacted with as many fans as he could, making direct eye contact and singing to some personally. His energy in the first few minutes was incredible, I knew we were going to be in for a show. The singer then proceeded to sing songs such as “Secrets”, “LA” and “Finally Free”. Bassett also showed us his incredible talent of being a multi instrumentalist – from playing guitar, to piano to showing off his vocals, he kept impressing everyone throughout the night.

There were many incredible moments during the show. In the middle of the set, Joshua went out in the middle of the crowd with an acoustic guitar and performed “Common Sense”, fans immediately surrounded the singer and joined in singing in unison. Joshua also gave us a little speech and stated that he sang covers on the tour and that the next song was something that felt “right” to play – the song that was covered in Houston was “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees and immediately the entire venue started singing along.  During “Different” Bassett surprised fans by going up to the balcony, he shook fans hands and walked around singing and taking selfies with attendees as well. It was such a cool moment in the show, it shows how much he loves and adores his fanbase.

The night was slowly coming to an end – the set featured songs such as “Lifeline”, “Smoke Slow” and even “Lie Lie Lie”. The final song of the night was “SHE SAID HE SAID SHE SAID”, everyone sang at the top of their lungs and danced their hearts out. The show was one for the books.

If Joshua comes to a city near you, please make sure to attend, it’s a show you do NOT want to miss. More information on dates and tickets can be found here.
