A Tuesday night full of chaos was brought to Atlanta on September 20th by Joywave. The Hellvetica Tour stopped at Heaven at The Masquerade as Joywave and idkhow continued their tour of music and banter.
Joywave’s frontman, Daniel Armbruster, has a very big personality that you can’t help but be consumed by. On stage, his body is in constant motion, keeping the crowd interested. He is very interactive with the audience members as he effortlessly keeps up with the songs.
Back in March of this year, Joywave played a headlining show in Atlanta and they had a Joywave cover band open for them. A very goofy and on brand move by the band. On Tuesday, the couple that started the cover band were in attendance. Daniel pointed them out, they handed him a piece of paper, and it was a Save the Date! They had gotten engaged and Daniel congratulated them and made a joke about the cover band bringing them closer.
The night continued on just as another other Joywave show- full of great music, energy, and jokes from the band. And of course, the introduction to their final song stayed the same. “Destruction” is a classic Joywave song that is claimed to be “the best song ever written” and it always gets the crowd roaring. A very hyped ending to a wonderful show.
