Kali Uchis performed to a sold out crowd in Houston at The 713 Music Hall for the “Red Moon In Venus” tour and wow, did the show leave us speechless.

Fans were outside the venue for hours before the show waiting in line to secure a good spot once inside. When doors opened, attendees sped to their seats, or to the floor to get the best view possible. The show opened with support from British singer – songwriter Raye. She performed some of her songs such as “The Thrill Is Gone”, “Five Star Hotels” and “Black Mascara”. All the attendees were mesmerized by Raye’s voice and talent, her set ended with “Escapism”.

It was finally time for Kali to perform. The lights went out, and the projector started playing the first visuals of the night. Fans yelled in excitement for the night that was yet to come. The singer appeared behind a curtain of feathers and opened with the intro of “Freakitona”. During the first few moments of the show we were hit with some of the most popular songs such as “Telepatia”, “See You Again” and even “Get You”. Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs – it was incredible how loud everyone was, and definitely made the show more exciting. Uchis took a moment to thank everyone for coming out and stated this was her first tour since 2018/2019 – she was excited to give us an incredible performance.

Kali sang songs from her newest album “Red Moon In Venus” such as “Worth The Wait”, “Moonlight”, and “Blue”. She also took it back to her debut EP “Por Vida” and sang “Loner”, and a personal favorite “Speed. The show was full of songs from her entire discography, it was incredible to see everything being performed live after being a long time fan. Several moments throughout the set she took a time to talk with fans and was just genuinely thankful for everyone being there.

As the show was coming to an end, the words “Kali Uchis” were projected on the big screen, the set “ended” with “I Wish You Roses” from the most recent album, fans sang at the top of their lungs enjoying the last few moments of the show, soon Kali exited the stage. Fans chanted the singers name for an encore, after a few minutes, she came back on stage and performed the final song of the night “After The Storm” a personal, and fan favorite. Everything about this tour was perfect: the performance, visuals and choreography. It was very memorable and one of my favorite shows in a long time. If Kali comes to a city near you, please make sure to attend, it’s a show you won’t regret, and to get more information on tour dates, click HERE.
