Khalid played a sensational set to a sold out a crowd at The South Side Ballroom in the heart of Dallas, Texas. With his recent release of his first full length studio album under RCA Records called American Teen his performance was highly anticipated. To be honest I have had the pleasure of covering multiple shows at The South Side Ballroom and that is by far the fullest I have seen that venue. The energy was absolutely insane. When Khalid walked on stage to perform his first tune which was “Lets Go” the crowd went wild! You know it is going to be a good show when the crowd starts singing along after the very first verse. He brought out his backup dancers who sported cheerleader outfits throughout the performance. He did not just sing perfectly like always, but he also danced and never missed a beat. Every person in that room was having an awesome time. His performance was covered in bright red lights which just intensified the entire venue. The front row went mad when he sang one of the crowd favorites “American Dream.” He also went on to perform more tunes from his latest album. He is definitely an artist to keep on your radar.
