Every so often you find an artist you can’t stop listening to because you don’t know what to expect. Kid Koala, legendary scratch DJ and visionary artist, creates the perfect imagery for his music.

He recently just released a 42-track project with original music from new award-winning video game Floor Kids.

The best way to describe music from Kid Koala is fresh, and it really makes you want to dance. There is an immense cool vibe which takes you back to 90’s hip hop, much like the game Floor Kids does for you.

Kid Koala is bringing back the true roots of being a DJ, and his music represents what hip hop was set out to be—fresh, inspiring and downright fun.

He brings art to your ears, creating a new landscape with each scratch, and it creates a harmonious experience to listen to music.

Kid Koala molded the universe for Floor Kids to be completely expansive, Kid Koala citing himself, “I wanted the music to illuminate this universe  and  match  the  energy  of  a  battle.”

Fan-beloved and video game-driven Scott Pilgrim vs. The World has heard music from Kid Koala. One of the new fan favorites, Baby Driver, has an incredible track by him. He has an impressive track record under his belt, and listening to each song is a new experience.

CLASH sited Kid Koala as being “one of the best turntablists on the planet.”

With a well-deserved compliment like that, who would want to see Kid Koala live?

Many have seen the excellent turntablist make magic on stage. Kid Koala has toured with some of the most well-known bands in the world, such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, DJ Shadow and more. He knows how to control a crowd, and many would kill to see him perform live.

Variety show Vinyl Vaudeville: Floor Kids Edition is coming to Portland, Oregon, and is worth every minute to see live.

Kid Koala is the act worth seeing. If you are free on May 5th and live near Portland, check out this show. It won’t be one to miss!
