Sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell treated Los Angeles with some good old southern comfort at the Fonda Theatre. Larkin Poe is a Nashville-based band that sure knows how to bring the energy with their country feel-good rock and blues. The band hits the stage to a roaring crowd starting the night with their song “Strike Gold”. Rebecca Lovell excites the crowd with energy flying off her electric guitar while Megan Lovell goes hard at her side. The duo’s lively harmonies fill up the venue left and right. Every song played feels like a story being sung to the crowd. They know how to “Kick the Blues” with their music. The show takes a moment to shine a light on those battling with mental illnesses as they play their emotional song, “Mad as a Hatter” in honor of their beloved grandfather who struggled with mental illness. It’s amazing how well the band knows how to energize their crowd and intrigue them with a raw song like that. Larkin Poe honored their southern roots while on stage for the crowd to experience. It was a tremendous night full of joy and good music. These sisters know how to make the audience feel right at home.
