On May 14th, Canadian singer-songwriter-artist Lights performed for a sold out crowd at

Portland, OR’s Wonder Ballroom. Lights is no stranger to Portland – or to sold out shows – as she’s performed across the city many times throughout her career. Despite the show being on a Wednesday night, fans showed up in droves for what was sure to be another dynamic Lights show in the City of Roses.

This current tour – the “(A)LIVE AGAIN” tour – is in support of Lights’ recently released sixth studio album, appropriately titled A6. While much of the show focused on songs from A6, the overall performance was a celebration of Lights’ nearly two-decade-long career.

Lights’ energy was infectious throughout the entire show. At times she was rambunctious and dancey; other times she was more subdued and personal, taking moments to tell stories about her career and the inspiration behind different songs. She shifted tones effortlessly all night, showing her depth as a performer and artist.

Tracks from the set like “White Paper Palm Trees” and “Ghost Girl at First” represented the new style she’s embraced with A6, while older tracks like “Siberia”, “River”, and “Speeding” showed glimpses of past eras and sounds she’s explored over the years. Whether you’re a new fan or have been with Lights since the beginning, this show had something for everyone and we’re thrilled we got to be there
