Music, Why Not!

The Naked and Famous @ House of Blues- Dallas

Seriously, this past Friday there were so many amazing bands playing some of Dallas best venues. The South Side Ballroom housed one of the most anticipated shows of the year: The 1975. The House of Blues had an incredible line up both in the main stage and the Cambridge room. The main stage had a really recognized band playing- best known as The Naked and Famous. Saying that the place was packed is an enormous understatement. There were so many people it was insane and equally awesome. The energy was high and sure to reach you at any place in the venue. The lighting through out the show was beautiful. They played hits from their new album Simple Forms such as Higher and The Water Beneath You. Let me just tell you it was one of the best crowds I have seen thus far. They were all singing along and dancing. I love seeing artist that are able to hype up a crowd with their energetic yet clean performance.

The Naked and Famous are a New Zealand indie electronic band from Auckland, formed in 2007. The band consists of Alisa Xayalith (vocals, keyboards), Thom Powers (vocals, guitars), Aaron Short (keyboards), David Beadle (bass) and Jesse Wood (drums). They are currently based in California and have put out various albums which are: Passive Me, Aggressive You (2010), In Rolling Waves (2013), and Simple Forms(2016). Their songs have been featured in multiple television shows. Their music is catchy and innovative.

This is a band I would highly suggest you see live. They fall in the category of bands that air able to incorporate synthesizers, beats, and clean vocals to create  a new sound. If you have not already check out their most current album New Forms!
