Music, Why Not!

Lollapalooza Is Back (2019 Rundown)

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, music lovers from all around the world; guess what!? It’s that time of the year again. School is out and the music is bumping louder than ever as Lollapalooza is back in the beautiful windy city of Chicago with one of the biggest lineups we’ve seen!

When thinking of music festivals around the world, it’s safe to say that one of the first names we all think of is Lollapalooza. Since 2005, they have been attracting more than 150,000 people annually to Grant Park in urban Chicago, Illinois. This 4-day festival is one of the most, actually scratch that; IT IS the most iconic music festival of the year with performances from top hip-hop, electronic, heavy-metal, alternative, pop, punk and indie artist. Let’s take a quick look at the 2019 line-up, shall we?

Headlining Thursday night, one of Manhattan’s coolest bands, THE STROKES! We can all take a short minute to appreciate their hazy clouds of pop melodies and sharp riffs all while keeping the essence of , post-punk rock alive. This will be their first time headlining the main stage since Lollapalooza Chile 2017. Their collection of albums and highly anticipated performance is bound to bring in a A-cult following.

Lollapalooza is known for its great festival production design. Strategically placing their artists and stages together solely based off of sounds the artists produce. This way they can showcase new artists to their attendees while they patiently wait hours for their favorite performer. That ladies and gentleman is what I’d like to call a music plug for all!

Festival-goers can expect some incredible performances from the entire line up all weekend. Every night is going to end with a bang with these headliners! The Strokes and The Chainsmokers on Thursday, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala are set to headline on Friday which Is personally my most anticipated performances of the entire weekend because of their visuals, groovy synths, and hypnotic melodies. On Saturday we’ll have Twenty Øne Pilots and J Balvin and closing off the weekend Sunday night with Flume and the Queen of Pop Ariana Grande!
